On my flight to Kota Kinabalu today on Airasia, I ordered lunch in the form of a spaghetti and meatballs set which was supposed to come with a Minute Maid and two packets of Loacker wafers. This was stated in the flight menu. I also noted that Airasia's food prices has gone up about 25% in price, as previously hot meals were about RM12, but now they sell for RM15 (not counting set meals), which is a big time price increase for super small meals which I can finish in 3 bites.
Anyway, I was a bit surprised my set meal came only with one Loacker wafer instead of two as stated in the menu. And when I asked the attendant why I only got one packet, he said its not for catering, or some weird answer like that. I looked through the menu again, and did not see any fine print mentioning two packets of the wafers are only provided under certain conditions. Not that the extra wafer packet is a big deal, considering it's a pathetically small wafer, but it's the principle of the thing. If it's advertised on the menu, I expect to get everything stated in the set, no weird excuses.
Hence, I would like say that Airasia is officially guilty of false marketing. Tony Fernandez, you should be ashamed of yourself!
